Learn to Skate

Join the CBS Skating Club in a dynamic learn-to-skate program taught by professional coaches that focus on fun, participation and basic skill development for the fundamental skills needed for any ice sport or to skate recreationally.

CanSkate: 

Canada’s leading learn to skate program relative to all on ice sports. Stages 1 to 6. The skater to coach ratio is 10:1 or less. 

Pre-CanSkate: 

Designed for first time skaters, teaches the skaters the basics such as getting up and moving forwards. The skater to coach ration is 10:1 or less. (Not a prerequisite for CanSkate). Minimum age is 3 years old by Dec 31st of the skating season.

Academy CanSkate:

Skaters must be identified by our CanSkate program coaches as having an aptitude for figure skating. Stages 3 to 6. The skater to coach ratio 5:1 or less. 

Adult/Teen Learn to Skate:

The basic CanSkate program offered in a mature and easy going session for skaters ages over the age of 12. Stages 1 to 6. The skater to coach ratio is 10:1 or less.
