Ice Show Recommendation
All skaters should have skate guards (preferably hard) for the dress rehearsal and ice show. Skaters will be crossing and sitting in areas where there are only concrete floors. Without guards, their blades will be dulled/damaged. To avoid mixups, it is recommended that you use tape or marker to put your skaters name on each guard.
Day of Show Protocols
o ONLY Volunteers are allowed in the CanSkate section and dressing rooms during the show as it will be reserved for skaters only.
o Only 1 parent/guardian per skater will be allowed in the dressing rooms while skaters are getting ready, once they are ready, parents must leave the dressing room and your child will be in good hands with the group volunteers.
o Parents are not permitted in the CanSkate seating or backstage during the show, UNLESS they are a group volunteer. Parents may pickup/sign out their child after their performance by meeting the parent volunteer in the dressing room.
o All skaters must be in their designated dressing rooms 30 minutes before the show if they are in the first half of the show or brought to the dressing rooms at the beginning of intermission if they are in the second half of the show.
o Skaters will remain in the dressing room for their half of their show awaiting their performance time.
o Skaters can be picked up after their performance or at the intermission (if performing during the first half) or at end of show (if performing in the second half) in their assigned dressing rooms.
