Competitions & Seminars

Throughout the season there will be various skating competitions and seminars for the skaters to take part in. Information & applications will be given out to those who are eligible to participate. Keep on eye on the website for upcoming events.

Some CanSkaters in stages 4 to 7 may compete at Avalon Interclub, and stages 5-7 may compete in Junior Provincials, in variuos age categories. All other competitions are for StarSkate skaters.

There may be a couple of seminars during the season as well, for CanSkaters & StarSkaters. Skaters will be exposed to different coaches and coaching styles, and will have a lot of fun while learning important skating habits & techniques.

First time parents to competitions and seminars:
- check with your childs coach on which competitions your child may be competing in during the season
- all the applications have deadlines, be sure to check if the application is to be returned to the club office or mailed to the host
- there are usually extra coaching fees for competitions; confirm with your childs coach on exact amounts
